Membership Requirements
FMA International recognizes outstanding members of the organization by membership into the National Honor Society. Criteria for membership include: a minimum overallGPA of 3.25 or greater, or a minimum GPA of 3.25 in all finance-related coursework, and a minimum of 6 hours of finance-related coursework completed or in progress.
Finance-related coursework includes "Principles of Finance, Corporate Finance, Investments, Seminar in Finance, and Advanced Financial Management." Unfortunately, Accounting, Marketing, Management, or Economics coursework do not count towards the 6 hour requirement. Membership dues for the FMA NHS are $45 for one school year, regardless of whether you join in the Fall or the Spring. $40 goes to FMA International and the remaining $5 goes to our local chapter. Members inducted into the National Honor Society receive an FMA NHS pin and a certificate stating their outstanding academic achievement.

General Membership Requirements
Membership in the Truman State University is limited simply to those who wish to learn, participate, discuss, and enjoy the field of finance and finance-related issues. While our chapter at this time does not have a minimum GPA or class-standing requirement, the University requires that a student be in good standing in order to be involved with an on-campus organization. Attendance to all meetings and speakers is required and appreciated, provided that other events/meetings do not conflict. Membership dues are $40 for one school year, regardless of whether you join in the Fall or the Spring. $35 goes to FMA International and the remaining $5 goes to our local chapter.
